The repository is OpenAI's first public commitment to the Agent Skills open standard (agentskills.io) — defining skills as a folder containing SKILL.md, scripts, and resources. Google Stitch, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, and Kiro already support compatible skill formats.
